Mavs win big in the Big Apple, 50 point victory!

By Trina

Whew! what a loooong road trip for the Mavericks ending in a win against the New York Knicks, 128/78. That's right fans a 50 pts win! Don't get too excited things could go down hill after the All-Star break but for now the Mavs will enjoy this franchise 50 pt victory. The soldier, Drew Gooden had an outstanding game with a double, double game. Drew has played well this entire season on and off the road. The rest of the bench had an opportunity to play as well, rookie, guard Roddy Beaubois, was a spark off the bench pushing the ball hard, passing and scoring; third year forward James Singleton had double digits off the bench and fought for offensive boards; Matt Carroll, a name you rarely hear scored 7 pts off the bench Tim Thomas presence was felt with an in your face dunk even Dallas native and Kimble high school grad, Quinton Ross saw playing time.

The bench had a good time today, lots of smiles from the guys. Mavs had seven players in double digits. It's about time coach Carlise played the bench allowing the starters to rest. Jason Kidd and Erick Dampier did not play. Dampier was ruled inactive by coach Carlise, his play hasn't been that good on the road. No consistency....I wasn't surprise to see he did not play.
