Josh Hamilton declines Rangers offer

ARLINGTON -- Josh Hamilton turned down the Rangers' offer of $13.3 million because he is looking for a long-term contract worth $20-25 million annually.
The offer made recently would put the Rangers in a position to get a draft pick return if Hamilton signs with another team. The Rangers expected Hamilton to refuse the offer, although the organization still has interests in re-signing him.
The Rangers and Hamilton’s agent Michael Moye are in discussions and will continue talks during off-season.
